Player Safety & Wellbeing
Gaming at KStar99 should always be an enjoyable, controlled activity — not a source of financial stress or personal harm. This page sets out the tools, resources, and policies we have in place to support every player on our platform.
Our Commitment
KStar99 is committed to providing a safe and transparent gaming environment for all Malaysian players. We believe that gambling, when approached sensibly, is a legitimate form of entertainment — much like attending a football match or visiting a theme park. What separates responsible gambling from harmful behaviour is awareness, control, and the ability to stop when it stops being fun.
Whether you are based in Kuala Lumpur, Penang, Johor Bahru, Petaling Jaya, or any other part of Malaysia, the same player protection standards apply to your KStar99 account. We do not differentiate by account tier, bet size, or VIP status when it comes to player safety. Every registered member has full access to all of the responsible gambling tools described on this page — at no cost, with no penalties for using them.
The tools available to you include deposit limits, wagering limits, session time reminders, cooling-off periods, and permanent self-exclusion. We also work to identify at-risk behaviour through our internal monitoring systems, and our support team is trained to respond appropriately when a player reaches out in distress.
Player Protection Tools
All of the following tools are built directly into the KStar99 platform. They can be activated by any registered player at any time through Account Settings or by contacting our 24/7 support team.
Set a maximum deposit amount on a daily, weekly, or monthly basis. Once your chosen limit is reached, the system prevents further deposits for the remainder of that period. Limits can be reduced immediately; increases take 48 hours to apply — giving you time to reconsider.
Set a cap on the total amount you can bet per day, week, or month across all games — live casino, sports betting, slots, and more. This tool is particularly useful for players who want to enjoy the Liga Super Malaysia or EPL sportsbook without overspending on any given week.
Set a timer that sends you a visible notification after a specified period of continuous play — for example, after 30 minutes, 1 hour, or 2 hours. This gentle interruption helps you stay aware of how long you have been playing and makes it easier to take deliberate breaks.
Define the maximum amount in MYR you are prepared to lose in a given period. When you reach your loss threshold, the system prevents further play for the rest of that period. This tool is designed to prevent the instinct to "chase losses" — one of the most common patterns in problem gambling.
Take a short break from the platform without permanently closing your account. Cooling-off periods can be set for 24 hours, 48 hours, 7 days, 30 days, or up to 90 days. During a cooling-off period, you cannot log in, deposit, or play. The period cannot be shortened once activated.
If you feel that gambling is causing serious harm, self-exclusion allows you to permanently close your KStar99 account for a minimum of 6 months. During this period, we will make reasonable efforts to prevent you from re-registering. Your remaining real-money balance will be returned to your verified payment method.
To activate any of the above tools, log in to your account and navigate to Account Settings, or contact our 24/7 live chat support for immediate assistance. All tools take effect immediately except deposit limit increases (48-hour delay).
Recognise the Warning Signs
Problem gambling does not always look obvious, especially in its early stages. The following behaviours are recognised warning signs — if several of these apply to you or someone you know, it may be time to seek support or use the self-exclusion tool on KStar99.
Spending more money on gambling than originally planned, or than you can comfortably afford to lose.
Feeling restless, irritable, or anxious when you are unable to gamble or when trying to cut down.
Chasing losses — continuing to bet in an attempt to recover money you have already lost in a session.
Borrowing money, taking loans, or selling assets to fund gambling activity.
Lying to family, friends, or colleagues about how much time or money you spend gambling.
Gambling interfering with your work, studies, family relationships, or daily responsibilities.
Using gambling as an escape from stress, anxiety, depression, or personal problems.
Feeling unable to stop or control your gambling even when you want to.
Healthy Gambling Habits
Most players on KStar99 engage with the platform in a controlled, recreational way. These are the habits and attitudes that characterise healthy gambling behaviour:
You set a budget before you start playing and stick to it regardless of whether you win or lose.
You treat any winnings as a bonus, not an income source or a guaranteed outcome.
You take regular breaks during sessions and stop playing when you have reached your time or money limit.
You only gamble with money you can genuinely afford to lose — money left over after all essential expenses are covered.
You are open with people close to you about your gambling habits, and it does not cause tension or concern.
You enjoy the gaming experience itself — the live casino tables, the sports betting excitement on EPL or Liga Super Malaysia matches — for what it is: entertainment.
You can walk away without distress when you hit your limit for the day, regardless of the current score or table position.
Self-Assessment
This is not a clinical diagnostic tool, but a simple self-check. If you answer "Yes" to three or more of these questions, we strongly encourage you to activate a cooling-off period or contact Talian Kasih 15999 for confidential support.
Have you ever gambled with money that was set aside for rent, bills, groceries, or other essential expenses?
Have you ever felt the urge to return to gambling as soon as possible after a losing session to try and win back what you lost?
Have you ever borrowed money from family, friends, or a financial institution specifically to fund gambling?
Has someone close to you — a partner, parent, or friend — expressed concern about how much you gamble?
Do you find it difficult to stop gambling once you have started, even when you had planned to play for only a short time?
Have you ever felt that you needed to gamble with larger and larger amounts of money to get the same level of excitement?
Has gambling ever caused you to miss work, neglect family responsibilities, or avoid social commitments?
Do you turn to gambling when you are feeling anxious, depressed, stressed, or lonely — as a way of coping?

Age Verification Policy
Preventing underage gambling is one of KStar99's most fundamental obligations. We apply a minimum age of 21 years old — above the standard 18-year threshold used by many platforms — as an additional layer of protection for young Malaysians.
You are required to provide your date of birth during sign-up. Any declared date of birth indicating the user is under 21 will result in immediate rejection of the registration.
Before any withdrawal is processed, we verify your date of birth against a government-issued ID — Malaysian IC (MyKad) or passport. Any discrepancy triggers an immediate account review.
Any account confirmed as belonging to a person under 21 years of age is immediately closed. All deposited funds are returned to the originating payment method. No winnings are paid out to underage users.
If you believe a minor in your household has accessed or registered on KStar99, please contact our support team immediately via live chat. We will investigate and take action without delay.
Responsible gambling is not just a policy statement at KStar99 — it is a practical commitment supported by real tools, trained staff, and genuine concern for every player on our platform. If you ever need help, we are here 24/7.
For players aged 21 and above only. If you need help with a gambling problem, contact Talian Kasih 15999 (Malaysia, free, 24/7). KStar99 support is available via live chat at all times.
